Of these, 1-4 have been committed with a few fixes (pipe2 was wrongly
using SYS_pipe instead of SYS_pipe2, header issues, etc.) and
additions (vmsplice and macros needed for using splice). This covers
the syscall additions; the rest of the patches are duplicate symbols
for ABI purposes, and I'd like to head a better report of what's
really needed before going with them.
