The right place to report it is the mailing list; I've Cc'd the list
on this response. The issue is known -- it's a problematic interaction
with the GNU regex implementation used in GNU sed, and only happens
when LC_ALL=C is imposed by the caller. I'm presently trying to figure
out the best way to fix it.
