I don't think it's the kind of "ABI break" we'd rule out. It would be if there were interfaces that didn't take a size argument and that were allowed to write up to NGROUPS_MAX into a caller-provided buffer, but that's not the case. I said I'd look at this before and just need to get around to it. Rich
