A post about the first step in adding LWIP to the ELK bare metal musl
environment.

When I read your posts about progress on ELK, at first I think of ELKS,
the Embeddable Linux Kernel System (aka Linux 8086):
http://elks.sourceforge.net/

Just thought I'd mention the name collision.

Thanks,
Isaac Dunham

Hi Issac,

I was unfamiliar with ELKS. Obviously the name is a big coincidence. I
suspect ELKS (unlike ELK) doesn't have much chance of running on a
Raspberry Pi. ;-)

I've updated this post with part 2, which describes a pretty complete
integration with the LwIP TCP/IP stack: http://ellcc.org/blog/?p=23014

Wow, great work. I hope you succeed with your ethernet driver
implementation. Would be very nice to see elk communicate over real
ethernet.

I'm hoping to get something working before I have to go back to my real
job on Monday. We'll see...
