that worked like a charm. so i have a issue with the way i built musl then?  apparently dynamic doesnt work without specifying the library but static is fine.

    gcc -v -static test.c

What compiler flags did you use when compiling musl? If static linking works, but dynamic doesn't, that points to a library issue, either with musl or libgcc.
