Does anybody know where there is any documentation or algebra for the
derivation of the limit in the handling of largish values of the real
component, i.e. when |x| > 11 for float and |x| > 22 for double.
While I get similar, it is not the same. I must be missing something.
The author is David Schultz from about 2011 in the FreeBSD project.
The GNU version has some similar logic for largish values of the real
component, but even more different limits which I cannot explain at
all.
Thanks - Damian
