I just found the answer to the question I sent in a few minutes ago. This often happens ;-)))
I had an empty file named mpgraph.mp in the directory, sized zero bytes and when I "deleted" that, the problem was solved.
The file was probably a byproduct of an earlier run that was interrupted.
