Hi,

I try to install PPchTeX without any result. I get the message :
systems        : begin file essai2 at line 5
Randomizer initialized to 1239237573.
figures        : figure essai2-mpgraph can not be found
figures        : figure essai2-mpgraph can not be found
layout         : calculating backgrounds
[1.1{psfonts.map}]
systems        : end file essai2 at line 23
 )<cmtt10.pfb><cmr9.pfb><cmr12.pfb>

What's wrong with metapost?

In the archive I found a message from Denis B. Roegel about the same problem but I can't find his solution...

there are two ways to get this right (assuming that you run a not too old 
texexec)

(1) enable write 18 in the tex related setup file as well as in 
cont-sys.tex [see rme file]
(2) run mp afterwards, i.e. use texexec that does it for you (there is now 
a switch --automp)

if (1) and (2) fail:

(3) try "texexec --mptex essai2-mpgraph.mp"

figures        : figure essai2-mpgraph can not be found

I think my texexec.ini is correct and "texexec --verbose confirms it" :
there is no option : -progname=mpost!

What do I have to do?

PS : another question : in LaTeX I used 8-bit characters (for éèà....). Is
there the same in ConTeXt?

are you sure that your texexec.ini file is set up properly for miktex?

in the miktex section you can set

MpPassString =

I'm sure :
               setting : 'MpPassString' to '' for 'miktex'
          used setting : MpPassString =
          used setting : MpFormat = metafun
