hi all

I have another metapost probelem:
I would like to have a shade effect like this:
circular_shade(p,0,transparent(1,.25,white),transparent(1,.75,white)) ;
but it seems that this doesn'n work wiht transparent colors. both of the
transparent colors get black in the picture.
Is there another simple solution to reach this effect?
