There is also no ls-r kind of file in that directory. If I do "mktexlsr" I get Updating C:/mytex/ls-r... c:/texlive/texmf-var/ls-r .. .. done so it looks like the mktexlsr program knows where to look, but doesn't that mean that it should be able to tell where what file is?
