There are of course other Context environments where you are definitely able
to prodce lines in whatever style.
\starttable{} .. \stoptable for simple tables may be you compile the
module-documentation form core-tab.tex
\bTABLE ... \eTABLE for difficult tables  there is a example file on
pragma-site!
