Subject: Arrows and boxes in metapost.

Hello,
I need a simple graphic that shows some boxes (frames) with text in it and has some arrows pointing to and from these boxes. (examples 267 and 268 on this page [1])
I was hoping to do this in MetaPost.
Earlier this year this question went un-answered on this list:
"How to use boxit MetaPost macros with ConTeXt minimals?"
So, is there a solution or do I have to use
label.rt(btex \framed[width=3cm,align=middle]{Text} etex, (1u,1.5u));
Which really feels uncomfortable in this case.
Best regards
Christian
