Hello Hans, hello all,
I have a picture that is smaller than the page and want to place it in the
background -- but not in the middle. How can I do that?
Say, the pic is 5x5cm and I want to place it at (10cm,12cm) from the top
left corner.
Uwe

What corner? The paper?
\defineoverlay
[mine]
[\vbox to \overlayheight
{\vskip10cm
\hbox to \overlaywidth{\hskip12cm\externalfigure[somefig]\hfill}
\vfill}]
\setupbackgrounds[page][background=mine]
