Indeed! My solution is now:

\setuplayout[width=fit,backspace=\dimexpr(\leftmarginwidth +\leftmargindistance)]

Thanx.

Hi,

Why isn't this the default in ConTeXt? The page-layout which is the default
is shifted to the left, because (a4paper) the backspace is 2.5 cm but the
leftmargin + leftmargindistance is approx. 3 cm. So there is really a left
margin of 2.5cm and a right margin of 3.6 (?) cm. Or is it a problem with
an incorrect configuration?
