Hi,

after the feedback for my first module (pararef) and regarding my next
upcoming module I decided to put crossref into its own module, so that
it can be used by other modules or without any other module.

	http://modules.contextgarden.net/crossref

	Unluckily I forgot to fill out the filename field at the very
	beginning. As I cannot change the filename anymore, I ask a
	modules-db admin to change it from -0.9.zip to
	t-crossref-0.9.zip - thanks! :-S

	http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Cross_Referencing

@Sieste and Wolfgang
I removed move my wrong spelling of bra[c]kets and replaced it by left
and right as Wolfgang suggested.

@Lukas
I added your czech alternative.

@Philipp
I like to put into a public vcs like github. I think it should be
something general for all modules (maybe a github like installation on
contextgarden?

@Philipp and Wolfgang
Is there any quick to understand doc for s-mod?

@Wolfgang
I did not understood your "helpers example". Maybe you can show me a
point where it would make sense in this crossref module?

Of course to all: feel free to comment it and I hope it will be usefull
for some of you.

H.

PS. Sorry for my half finished post sended before.. it is clearly too
late.

PPS. pararef will be updated soon to work with crossref

Hello,

it looks nice.

Two notes:

1)

There is a LaTeX package (vref? fref? - I can't remeber) which distinguishes between references targeting forward and backward from the place of the crossref.

So your module should be slightly improved adding "uparrow" / "downarrow" for the link which links ahead of / behind the use of crossref.

Both marks should be the same ("uparrow") by default, but user might be allowed to define both of them ("uparrow" and "downarrow").

2)

I looked into you code and I found that you use

----
\setupcrossreftext[cz][atpageLeft={ na stranÄ› }]
----

It might be more flexible to use symbolic name of the "ě" (UTF8: "Ä›"):

----
\setupparareftext[cz][atpageLeft={ na stran\ecaron\ }]
----

as I don't know how the module would work if included into another source file which doesn't use UTF-8 encoding.

Thanks for your work anyway.

Best regards,

Lukas

There was discussion about this in a small group but we never came
to a conclusion because everyone has it’s own habits how to organize
module files and where to store it, e.g. a few people use github, others
use bitbucket etc.

All normal code and also normal comments (lines beginning with %)
are printed as normal verbatim code.

When you want examples and text to explain it just add “%D” at the
begin of each line. When you need a module (even the module you’re
documenting) or other definitions add “%M” at the begin of the line.
For comments and other texts (e.g. the license text) which shouldn’t
appear in the output use “%C” at the begin of the line.

You can use nearly any command for the documentation as you do
in a regular document.

You can find a example for a documented module below.

Take a look at the MkII and MkIV version of my fancybreak module

MkII: http://bit.ly/YErXvF
MkIV: http://bit.ly/WmtlWf

One difference in both modules are the names for the macros but this
of no importance for now. The big difference between both is that I have
to create the \definefancybreak, \setupfancybreak and \fancybreakparameter
commands for MkII myself while in MkIV the \installcommandhandler
creates all three commands with a single line of code. This command
in MkIV is one of the helpers I mean.
