You can write:

\setuplabeltext[nl][figure={}]

for deleting the "figuur"
and

\setupcaptions[number=no]

for deleting the "1"

How can I remove a `figuur 1' text under an illustration?
Furthermore: when I want a short text to appear just beneath the word
`Index', how do I do that?

Thanks in advance,
