\startframedtext ... \stopframedtext and \framedtext{...}

This should be:

\dostartframedtext[test]
...
\dostopframedtext

The "[test]" is interpreted as optional argument for the predefined
\startframedtext ... \stopframedtext environment.

Take a look into core-rul.tex,

\startframedtext is a short form for \dostartframedtext[framedtext]
