the horizontal start/end of the text on the page (like \evensidemargin
and \oddsidemargin in latex but using a different approach to do the
needed calculations).

Like a layout definition with a name (in this case, the name is
'standard'; which reflects contexts default page layout as it is when
the context format has just initialized, with empty headers and
footers).
