Well, I'm not sure this is a bug, or just WAD (Working As
Designed).

if I declare a math operator with

\definemathcommand [codim][nolop] {\mbox{codim}}

(that's the way they are defined in math-tex, too), the resulting
operator will change font according to the surrounding environment
(e.g. using \codim in inline math when the paragraph uses a slanted
font, codim will appear slanted). This is incorrect: these
commands should always use upright roman.
