Dear list,
i've found that a cell spanning across multiple rows in extreme tables
interferes with a cell spanning across multiple columns on a common
row. Ok, if that is not so clear, try this:
----------------------------
\starttext
The first cell spans across 3 rows. The cell in the last row should
span
across 2 columns, but it's actually one column large.
\startxtable[align={middle,lohi}]
\startxrow
\startxcell[ny=3] 3x1 \stopxcell
\startxcell 1x1 \stopxcell
\startxcell 1x1 \stopxcell
\stopxrow
\startxrow
\startxcell 1x1 \stopxcell
\startxcell 1x1 \stopxcell
\stopxrow
\startxrow
\startxcell[nx=2] 1x2 (why 1x1?) \stopxcell
\stopxrow
\stopxtable
Now the first cell spans across 2 rows, and the first cell of the last
row
spans across 2 columns as expected.
\startxtable[align={middle,lohi}]
\startxrow
\startxcell[ny=2] 2x1 \stopxcell
\startxcell 1x1 \stopxcell
\startxcell 1x1 \stopxcell
\stopxrow
\startxrow
\startxcell 1x1 \stopxcell
\startxcell 1x1 \stopxcell
\stopxrow
\startxrow
\startxcell[nx=2] 1x2 (ok!) \stopxcell
\stopxrow
\stopxtable
\stoptext
----------------------------
Best wishes,
Massi
