Hello,

I have been trying to typeset on landscape oriented 8.5x11 size paper.
However, pdftex keeps giving me the wrong size paper (11 x 11.69,
according to Acrobat). If I run regular TeX, then dvips, then ps2pdf,
I get the right size. I apologize if this is strictly a problem with
pdftex, but I believe that somewhere it is perhaps a problem with
Context. Here is a sample input:

\setuppapersize[letter,landscape]
\starttext
\input zapf
\stoptext

Thanks for any help anybody can provide.

try:

\setuppapersize[letter,landscape][letter,landscape]

This way you "print" [letter, landscape] on [letter, landscape] not on
A4 spread to 11 in width.

Make sure you always use \setuppapersize[][] with two
arguments. Perhaps Hans could correct me, but as far as I can see
(had no look into the source) the second argument defaults to [A4]
when empty.

Patrick,

Aha! Thanks very much. This seems to work for me.

This also explains why I was getting strange sizes in non-landscape
pages as well.

Thanks again.
