Subject: Tables: achieving wanted alignment
Date: Thu, 12 Jul 2001 19:20:33 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <16221819630.20010712192033@bigfoot.com> (raw)

Say that I have the following table:

\NC Elf \NG 24 months \NG 2 months 20 days \NC\AR
\NC Gnome \NG 16 months \NG 1 months 24 days \NC\AR
\NC Dwarf \NG 15 months \NG 1 months 20 days \NC\AR
\NC Halfling \NG 7 months \NG 0 months 24 days \NC\AR
\NC Human \NG 9 months \NG 1 month 0 days \NC\AR
\NC Half-Elf \NG 12 months \NG 1 months 10 days \NC\AR

I simply cannot get the right way to align the "Human" part as
shown in the ASCII text. I tried substituting the spaces with
tilde chars, and using the preamble

\starttabulate[|l|cp(10em)g{~}|cp(10em)g{~}|]

This settles the middle column but not the right one.

Ideas?
