Well, I am making progress slowly but surely. I ended up using the pre-02
module name, and now am getting errors relating to metapost (I think!). It
appears that figure mpgraph,mp is being written out to my home directory
(where I ran texexec) but not being found afterwards?? Here is output
(present.log):

This is a pretty old context. In the version you use, you need to run mp
by hand
mppost mpgraph
and then texexec the file again.
In the latest version (I added this feature for those following the ps
road) context sort of signals texexec to run mp in between. So, when you
use the latest context and the latest texexec, mpost will be run
automatically. This version is available on our site.
