Hi,
the homepage says that the included fonts increase the installation to
200mb while the macros themselves are rather small. Is there a way to
install only what is absolutely necessary? I'll be using system fonts
anyway...

if you install only luatex it's less
--engine=luatex
(but only a fresh install)
an lmtx installation is less (only files and fonts for mkiv, less binaries)
of course you can delete all documentation and most fonts (but keep the
lm fonts + dejavu)
