Hello,

There was an interesting article on the use of PowerPoint
in the classroom (including Kindergarten) in yesterday's
New York Times:

  http://www.nytimes.com/2001/05/31/technology/31POWE.html

(you need to be subscribed to the NYT to access
it, but it's free)

The article gives pros and cons of PowerPoint and emphasizes
that kids may be tempted to spend too much time on fonts
and format and not enough on content.

Maybe there should be a pdftex (or context) package for
kids? :-)

Denis
