But is that a no?? And about columns acting on the whole page, at least the beta manual give the impression that one can use it on parts of a page. I'm currently using \texrule{Header} \startcolumns \starttabulate \stoptabulate \stopcolumns \texrule{Header} \startcolumns \starttabulate \stoptabulate \stopcolumns on one page, and the textrules use the whole page, just like I expected. I just checked this with text, but the behaviour is the same, text before or after columns is using the whole page width...
