Would you tell us, *what* error occurrs? (font? 'defect'? ...)

I had problems with xpdf, because it couldn't display embedded fonts of
pdfs but only wanted to use the gs fonts: that means, what seemed
perfect with xpdf coulnd't work with Acrobat. But I don't know if your
error is mine.
