this works. Even the (dirtier?) one:

\appendtoks \bgroup \to\everystarttext
\appendtoks \egroup \to\everystoptext

No, I just want to use the very nice features context has ;-)

I've got it working now. I was not aware of the fact (use the 
source, luke) that it worked only in 'comment' mode... I feel 
more enlightened now. Thank you.
