Then using \start|\stopstandardmakeup i force the title-page. But now this background is repeated on every following page. Therefore next i use \setupbackgrounds[page][background=], in order to switch the overlay off. Is there any chance to say that a background has to be set only for this page/only once. I've tried 'state=stop' but this has no effect. BTW what means 'state=' in \setupbackgrounds? For me it doesn't change anything. Thanks. Jens
