But I think the main issue here is that you're not finding the new math- eul.tex file that is intended to over-ride the existing math-eul. Did you do a 'sudo texhash'? does 'kpsewhich math-eul' actually find the new math-eul or the old one (perhaps move/rename the old one if so...)
