Weird, it seems I forgot for that test.  Anyway, pdfetex fails to find
it anyway, even though kpsewhich finds it:

Warning: pdfetex (file mona30xx-pcp-mona.map): cannot open font map file

So I still need to keep it in $TEXMF/pdftex/config/
