The only files I could find in the ConTeXt tree that contain something related to the numbering of BibTeX publication lists were bibl-{tra,bib}.{mkii,mkiv}. Since I'm using MKIV I tried to change those files but for that to work I had to use \usemodule[bibl-bib] or \usemodule[bibl-tra] instead of \usemodule[bib] the latter of which doesn't seem to be necessary with MKIV anyway. I did some searching in the LuaTeX code as well as in the ConTeXt tree but I couldn't find the right place to extend the behavior of \setuppublicationlist with the standard bib feature of MKIV. So I'm wondering: where is all this implemented? How would I go about adding numbering=key? Any hints and suggestions are welcome!
