There is a line like TEXPSHEADERS = .;$TEXMF/dvips//;$dbfonts//type1// that until now I've commented out, but I don't think this is the one. Also, since I use the 4TEX program to run DVIPS, I'm not sure this DVIPS will be reading any info from the "texmf.cnf" file... Met hartelijke groet!
