Dear all,
Today I prepared a complete installation of tex and context on my Linux
machine. The installation used is from the techlive CD-ROM 1999. The choices
made were all belonging to 'recommended'.
The context part was immediately updated with the latest beta-version.
New format files were created.
When testing the installation I am able to produce DVI-files. However when I
try to use te command 'texexec --pdf' I get the following message:
This is pdfeTeX, Version 3.14159-13c-2.1 (Web2C 7.3) (format=cont-en

Thanks for your assistance

Seems like an error. Did you update your lsr file:
>mktexlsr
I looks like you run an old context format combined with new special
drivers. Can you check if the generated cont-en.efmt file indeed ended up
in the web2c path?

Hi!
If I understand AcroJS.pdf right, it is possible to completely define the
fields of a form in js.
Is there a possibility that pdftex , or context for that matter, actually
knows the actual sizes, or should I completely write it in context?
If so, could somebody be so kind to point me in the right direction?
I'm looking for something like "The complete idiot's guide to ConTeXt and
forms" :-)
TIA
Wolfgang Huber

There is an uptodate document on our site describing forms and JS. Since
some people on this list managed to make forms, this should help you a bit.
