Doesn't \switchtobodyfont[small] work? It should.
BTW, adapting the interlinespace to any current font is done by for instance
\bf \setupinterlinespace lots of text \par

Hi all,
Anybody knows how to change the interline spacing in the figure and
table captions? I want to captions to be in a small typeface, but I
keep getting the 'normal' baselineskip values. Maybe I'm just a bit
slow today, but I just can't get it to work...
