no "s with Palatino?

no "s with Palatino?

Hello Hans & rest! :-)

I looked a bit closer to my dvi and wondered, where my "ß" are gone to...

If I use CM-fonts, it's all ok, but ppl seems to have a strange encoding
or like that, so that neither "s nor \SS works -- there's nothing in
spite of "ß".

What should I do?

I ran into missing \v{S} ones last weekend, and changed this in font-ber.tex:

\definefontsynonym [Palatino-Slanted]           [uplro8t] [encoding=ec]
