missing mp-core.mp, trouble building german format

Hello,

my computer complains about missing mp-core.mp.
This file seems to be neither in the latest beta nor in the latest
official version.

Also, with the latest beta, building a german format does not work for
me.
I get an error message while processing core-fig:

(1) goto the file core-fig.tex and remove the % TOBIAS and % TOM in the
message areas

(2) make an empty file mp-core.mp in the metapost/context path (just an
endinput)

and 

(3) try again. 

I will upload a new zip later with better tables and more mp support
(expect things like predefined buttons and so, hashed backgrounds etc;
there will be much more mp stuff in the distribution).
