I don't think so. This depends on the viewer and printer driver since movie
formats are unknown to printers. You can do thing like:

\startoverlay
  {\externalfigure[abacadabra][widdth=50pt]}
  {\externalfigure[sp.avi]    [width=100pt,height=100pt]}
\stopoverlay

in which case abacadabra prints and sp views
