This mpgraph := #1 ; is a local trick, where if 'known' a predefined
graphic is selected from a file; a big if .. else thing.
You can change this code to for instance
\startuseMPgraphic{dummy}
draw fullcircle scaled 300 withpen pencircle scaled 20 ;
\stopuseMPgraphic
\useMPgraphic{dummy}
I'm working on a dedicated manual on mp graphics (in context and general)
as well as a collection of predefined backgrounds and buttons and so.
