The complication is that trial runs are done, you can try to encapsulate
your code with:
\iftrialtypesetting
\else
.....
\fi
I have to look in detail in the module to see if i can make this automatic
behavior, not only for fields.
Another trick is the following:
\starttext
\setupinteraction[state=start]
\initializeboxstack{fields}
\definefield[one][text]
\definefield[two][text]
\savebox{fields}{one}{\field[one]}
\savebox{fields}{two}{\field[two]}
\starttabulate[|l|l|]
\NC one \NC \foundbox{fields}{one} \NC \NR
\NC two \NC \foundbox{fields}{two} \NC \NR
\stoptabulate
\stoptext
This will not work in your version [some bug in new box stack code] so i
will send you an update of the box module.
