Smaller table

Many greetings.

Once more question, maybe stupid. How can I typeset a smaller table? I
tried this stuff:

But the mathematical signs are NOT smaller. Moreover, 
it seems to me that the linespacing is not adjusted. 
How can I improve it?

replace that line by: \switchtobodyfont[small]
