Good evening.

How can I combine tables (\starttabulate...\stoptabulate)?
I tried \startcombination[1*2]...\stopcombination, but
I've got some error message.

Any hint?

Many thanks,
M.K.

It should work, I think. Have you tried to typeset the tables itselves,
without combining? If it works and the combination doesn't, send
the code and the messages.

I'm not sure if there may be 1*2 in combinations, but I've also found
\placesidebyside{..}{..} and \placeontopofeachother{..}{..}, they may
help you.

1*2 and 2*1 are permitted, but the number of {data} thing sshould be n*m in
order to work,

these are indeed handy, but mostly for legends to figures and tables,
