Alan,

this is bizarre -- I do get proper hyphenation, yet I'm using the  
same ConTeXt version and I don't see any obvious difference in the  
log of the format or of the test file. Could it be that your lang- 
agr.pat is empty? I can send you mine if this is the case. Otherwise,  
I'm completely baffled.
