But you probably have to turn them off in places where no titles are available \doifcontent{pre content}{post content}{no content}\somebox so you get something like: \doifcontent {Chapter \getmarking[chapternumber][first].\space} {} {} \hbox{\getmarking[chapter][first]} > But I still cannot underline these headers and footers.
