All,

I figured out the following in texexec.ini:

set TeXFormatPath  to f:/localtexmf/miktex/fmt
set ConTeXtPath    to
f:/texmf/tex/context/base
set SetupPath      to f:/texmf/tex/base/user
set
TeXScriptsPath to f:/texmf/context/perltk

but the problem still remains. The command texexec --make produces

! I can't find file `core-mps.tex'.
l.154 \input core-mps.tex

Please type another input file name:

Strange. That one is in the distribution. Because texexec can find the
other ones, I suggest you check if you unzipped the archive in the right
place.
