In context it's \SS

you can add: \def\3{\SS} to your local cont-sys.tex 

But, in german mode, tobias long ago convinced me to support the "s
syntax. So, you can use the for germans normal " convention. This even
works ok for bookmarks and so ("u -> u umlaut).

This is very platform dependant. You can try: \useencoding[ibm]
