Subject: 'ConTeXt an Excursion' typos?
Date: Sun, 17 Oct 1999 10:32:32 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <380989A0.F173A495@t-online.de> (raw)
Hello,
First: in my edition of 'ConTeXt, an excursion' (V990527) on page 69
there seems to be something wrong with the small caps example.
There is written:
If you compare PDF, \cap{PDF} and \sc PDF:
But I guess there should be written
If you compare PDF, \cap{PDF} and \sc pdf:
with the latter not in caps, as \sc PDF renders exactly the same as \rm
PDF.
Besides, in the follwing line the first 'and' should perhaps be replaced
by a comma.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Second: Typing in the 'City council elections' table from page 31
results in a 'misplaced \omit' complaint by TeX immediately when \FIVE
is read.
(ConTeXt ver: 1999.9.30)
\starttable[|l|c|c|c|c|]
\HL
\VL \FIVE \JustCenter{City Council elections} \VL\SR
----^^^^^
Ignoring the error message leads to a table typset correctly. Quite the
same is true when saying \use{6} or something like that.
