We will look into it at the NTG meeting at thursday. Taco can tell you
more about the 'real' schemes. I changed the schemes to match the
official ones, and, just to stretch tex to the limits, I also added the
32 page alternative. Maybe taco can give a demonstration on folding
booklets.

Are you sure you also set the target paper size? You can also try
\stellayoutin[plaats=midden]
