Is there a possibility to number footnotes "way=bypage"
or, better, not to number them, but to use asterisks and daggers etc.?

(There are not so much footnotes in "my" book, and the redactors don't
want numbers...)

If it worked: Could I change this behaviour for each chapter? (Saying,
there'd be one chapter with many footnotes)
