Subject: index trouble

Message-ID: <39CD08C5.410B75D@gmx.net> (raw)
If I use \startregister[index][Test]{Test} ...
and at an other place \index{Test},
the result of \start/stopregister is always
before the \index results, even if the page
numbers are higher.
Is there anywhere advice on the deeper options
of these commands? (Otherwhere than beta manual)
Sometimes a range of pagenumbers doesn't show
up as (e.g.) "12--24", but as "12--18--24".
What causes such? (There are no \index between
\start- and \stopregister.)
Is it possible to influence the sorting of the
index? I don't want "Öl" before "Aal", but before
"Old". Ok, I write \index[Ol]{"Ol}, but is there
no other way?
Can I disable the case difference while sorting?
Thanks & Cheers!
Hraban.
